Youth Sailing

We offer sailing courses based on the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme for under 14s. Different age groups and ability levels are catered for in our program of courses. Instruction takes place from our centre  in Hamworthy Park in the very safe waters of Poole Harbour, safety boats and instructors are always in attendance with a maximum ratio of six students to one instructor.

When any youth sailing stages are completed the appropriate certificate will be issued, logbooks can be purchased at any time through your instructor or the office, and all completed parts can be signed off by your instructor. Courses are fully supervised by a senior instructor and the centre manager In the event of bad weather, alternative activities will be provided on all courses.

You will meet us at our centre in Hamworthy Park where you will meet your instructor at 9am and receive your course safety briefing.

Each RYA qualification takes approximately two full days to achieve, so your child may need to attend this course more than once to achieve the qualification if joining our half day courses.

The Centre has a team of experienced sailing staff, who will guide your child through these early stages of their sailing experience.  The shallow waters of Poole Harbour make it an ideal place to learn to sail.
