School and Youth Groups Residentials in Dorset & Dartmoor

We recognise how complex and time consuming, planning a residential can sometimes be. Therefore it is our aim to help you by providing advice and expertise at every stage resulting in a fulfilling and beneficial stay at our centres with lots of happy memories for all.

We’ve been providing challenging, exciting and confidence building trips for school students for over 20 years and are always expanding our activity offerings.

Our school and youth groups residentials are available to all schools and youth groups and offer an action packed, fully catered multi activity residential experience in our new centre in Dartmoor and also in Dorset on our woodland campsite in Wareham. You are welcome to bring your school or youth group to either of them for just about any purpose.

We would love to welcome your primary, secondary school or youth group to our campsite in Wareham Dorset and to our dormitory and campsite in Dartmoor.

Our centre is fully insured registered with AALA and is also LoTC registered.

Dartmoor Dormitory Accommodation
Our indoor facilities include:
• Bunkhouse – the bunkhouse provides indoor sleeping facilities for up to 38 individuals with varying sized dorms
• Shepard’s Huts provide additional bunkhouse space for 32 plus four staff
• Outdoor spaces – use of the woodland, your own fire pit, swimming pool, activity areas and of course Dartmoor itself
• Accessibility – a wheelchair friendly bedroom and washroom facilities are available and all our buildings have easy access too
• Activity field – so that your group can make the most of nature
• Fire pit, BBQ & swimming pool – available for you to use during your stay
• Camping field – with space for up to 80 campers
• Kitchen facilities – you’ll have access to a well-equipped kitchen
• Toilets & showers – male and female available
• Dining room & hall – these indoor facilities are also available to campers
• Fire pit, BBQ & swimming pool – available for you to use during your stay

Our site in Wareham offers many of the amazing facilities above as well as the added ease of being close to our centre on the shores of Poole Harbour to enable us to deliver our fantastic water sports package.

What size groups do we cater for?

Our trips for groups are for include camping at both locations and can offer up to 200 students and staff at each, under canvas in bell tents or our brand new ridge tents. Our Dormitory accommodation in Dartmoor will sleep up to 70 plus leaders.

For our fully catered courses, all meals, starting with Monday evening meal for a five-day course and Saturday breakfast for a weekend, are provided. Students have a packed lunch every day. We can cater for special dietary requirements and the food provided is prepared on site by our knowledgeable and experienced catering team.**
Self catering option is available for Dartmoor for camping and dormitory as each area has its own commercial kitchen and dinning room.

Our staff will always be on hand to oversee these decisions and do not jeopardize the safety of the young people, but equally will allow the group to make mistakes, review and apply learning to achieve successful journeys and adventures.

What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

Our residential courses can be totally bespoke. If you have any specific learning outcomes you hope to achieve on your visit simply tell us and our team will be able to create and deliver a package to best meet your learning needs. However, from our experience of working with schools and groups, we have put together some tailored packages that include all the activities that your group could need.

Our staff team are highly qualified, both in the outdoor activities we provide and academically because of this level of expertise and experience, we can offer an educational package that significantly surpasses other adventure activity providers. What does it cost?

Costs will depend on the exact requirements and duration of the activity or residential trip and start at £25 per person for a half day activity session, Action packed fully catered residential break start from £139 per person (bronze package), Full weeks start from as little as £139 (bronze package per person and large groups requiring a mid-week swap from £145 per person.
