    We are looking for a flexible and versatile marketer to join a growing ambitious team to work jointly with our managing director and youth groups coordinator for the growth of our outdoor education centre’s inbound sales channels.

    You will the kind of person with good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love of good copy. You will need proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate interaction.

    A solid knowledge of website analytics tools and experience in setting up and optimising Google Adwords campaigns is a must. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience in marketing together with the right potential and attitude required to develop within the role.

  • Vacancy Filled Centre Senior £1800000 to £25500.00

    Permanent Role Centre Senior   £18000 to £25500 depending upon experience and qualifications. (Grade 18)

    ·         Hours 8.5hrs per day usually between 8am and 6pm seven days on 3 days off. Proper notice will be given if the normal pattern of work is changed (Normally 10 Days)

    ·         Company Pension Scheme.

    ·         Training Allowance.

    ·         Company Uniform.

    ·         31 days annual leave. of which at least 6 are taken over the Christmas period plus Christmas, Boxing day and New Year Bank Holidays, totalling 31 days. Holiday cannot be taken between June to mid-August as this is our very busy time.

    Main Roles and Responsibilities 

     Running a wide range of RYA and BCU courses – from beginner to advance to both adults and children.

    • Assisting with the organisation and delivery of our Schools & Groups programme.
    • Team delivering fun, active and rewarding trips to the youngsters that come to us. 
    • To assist with the practical delivery of all water based courses
    • Overseeing junior Instructors - assisting and advising where necessary. 
    • Duty Senior – on shore SI – being responsible for the Centre in the absence Chief Instructor.

    Essential Qualifications

    • RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor / Windsurfing
    • RYA Powerboat Instructor
    • Level 2 Kayak Coach
    • RYA Dinghy / Windsurfing Instructor
    • DofE Assessor
    • DofE Supervisor
    • Lowland Leader or higher
    • Previous experience working within an busy multi activity centre

    • RYA Multi Hull Instructor

    Job Description

    • Support the Centre Principal with all activity related programs.
    • Supervise and offer leadership to junior instructors and apprentices.
    • Act as a technical expert for all activities provided by Harbour Challenge where you hold the senior qualification.
    • Teach and lead activities offered by Harbour Challenge.
    • Ensure that activity equipment is safe and serviceable before use.
    • Ensure that all Safety Guidelines and Risk Assessments are adhered to.
    • Ensure outdoor activity sessions run to timetable.
    • Ensure that the centre is open in time for staff and clients arriving each day
    • Ensure that changing rooms, showers and training room are cleaned, opened and locked and bins emptied at the end of each activity day and set ready for the next day.
    • Ensure that the compound and containers locked, and bins emptied at the end of each activity day.
    • Maintain equipment on activity sites.
    • In non-activity time help with general maintenance in and around the main building and all equipment.
    • Be a key driver of the development of new activities for the Company.
    • Advise the Centre Principal of current issues relating to outdoor activities.
    • Assist the Domestic and Catering staff from time to time.
    • Assist and help with all requirements of registration for centre inspections.
    • Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the Company’s uniform policy at all times.

    Outdoor Instructor – Multiple positions available £14000.00 to £18000.00(2018 season) (Grade 15)

    Harbour Challenge Outdoor Activity Centre– exciting multi-activity centre, on the shores of Poole Harbour.

    Our centre is growing! 2018 is set to be our busiest summer in our 20 years of business!

    We are looking for qualified instructors who love the outdoors to come and join the best team in the industry.

    • All outdoor instructors with all levels of qualifications considered 18+
    • Option to join company pension scheme.
    • Salary Range: £14000 - £19000 pro rata (dependent on age and experience)
    •  Working Pattern Six days on two days off.

    Essential qualifications  Driving licence  At least one (preferably 2 or all) of: SPA, BCU level 1 or 2 Coach, Windsurfing / Dinghy Instructor
